Along with this, people will also get back those vehicle related documents which were confiscated. The Uttar Pradesh government had ordered to cancel the challans issued during the period from 31 December 2016 to 31 December 2021. On June 2, an order was issued by the government that this is applicable on the challans of vehicles issued by both the traffic police and the transport department.

People can apply to the transport department to cancel the challan. If the driving license and vehicle registration certificate have been confiscated, then mention the same information on the application. The documents will be returned as soon as the challan is cancelled.

Work is being done on this also. ARTO Administration Dr. Siyaram Verma said that the application has to be written on a plain paper and submitted to the Transport Department. After this the process is started.

Application will have to be submitted to the transport officer

According to the Transport Department, the vehicle owner has to submit an application to the ARTO administration at the Assistant Divisional Transport Department office located in Sector-32 to cancel the challan. Applications can be submitted from 10 am to 5 pm on working days except Sunday.
