Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for central Delhi. In this traffic advisory, Delhi Police has said that traffic will be affected in central Delhi on Tuesday due to the organization of marathon on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary. Since ‘Run for Unity’ will be flagged off from Gate No. 1 of Major Dhyanchand National Stadium at 7:40 am on Tuesday, some traffic restrictions have been imposed.

The statement issued said that about 7,700 people will participate in the ‘Run for Unity’ starting from the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in the national capital. These participants will reach the venue by bus and car. In view of this event, traffic will be restricted towards India Gate, C-Hexagon from 6:45 am till the end of the function. The route of the race will start from Gate No. 1 of Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, C-Hexagon, opposite Shahjahan Road and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose statue.

The traffic advisory states that traffic will be diverted from Tilak Marg-Bhagwan Das Road Crossing, Purana Qila Road-Mathura Road Crossing, Shershah Road-Mathura Road Crossing, Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg-Subramanyam Bharti Marg Crossing, Q-Point, Roundabout Mansingh Road, Roundabout Jaswant Singh Road, KG Marg-Ferozshah Road Crossing and Roundabout Mandi House. Citizens are requested to cooperate in ensuring smooth traffic movement in the area around C-Hexagon.
