Traffic Rules: Automatic e-challan is now being deducted for violating traffic rules in Bihar’s capital Patna. Due to this, people are no longer stopped for making mistakes, but based on the footage of the camera, the challan directly reaches their home.
E-Challan rate:
- Without helmet: ₹1000
- Without seatbelt: ₹1000
- Stop Line Violation: ₹5000
- Wrong side driving: ₹5000 for the first time and ₹10000 for the second time
- Driving while talking on mobile: ₹5000 for the first time and ₹10000 for the second time
- Over Speeding: LMV – ₹2000, HMV – ₹4000
- Traffic signal violation: ₹5000 for the first time and ₹10000 for the second time
- Three or more rides on a two wheeler: ₹1000
The time limit for depositing the fine is 90 days after the e-challan is deducted. If the fine is not deposited within this period, then there may be a problem in the related work of the vehicle.
Traffic rules have become even more strict in Patna since last Thursday, if you talk on mobile while driving or do not wear seat belt then your challan will be deducted.
