Traffic Rules: These people can ride a bike without a helmet, traffic police will not issue a challan

Traffic Rules: There is a class in the country which has been given complete freedom from this rule. If those people drive without helmet in front of the eyes of the traffic police, then the police will not stop them because the government has given them the freedom to drive without helmet.

Traffic Rules: Traffic rules have been made in the country keeping in mind the safety of the people. If these rules are broken, a hefty fine is imposed. One of these rules is to wear a helmet. If caught driving a bike without a helmet, a fine of up to Rs 5,000 can be imposed. But there is a class in the country which has been given complete freedom from this rule. If those people pass in front of the eyes of the traffic police while driving without a helmet, then the police will not stop them because the government has given them the freedom to drive even without a helmet. Know why this is so?

These people are exempted from wearing helmets

We are talking about the Sikh community. In India, people of the Sikh community are allowed to drive without a helmet. The reason for this is that people of the Sikh community definitely wear a turban on their head. A helmet does not fit over a turban tied with several layers. This is why they cannot wear a helmet. Apart from this, the rule of making people wear a helmet while driving a two-wheeler has been made for their safety. The helmet works to protect the head from serious injuries. For the people of the Sikh community, this work is done with their turban.

At the time of an accident, the turban of the Sardar people acts as a helmet and protects their head from serious injuries. For this reason, the government has given exemption to the people of this community from wearing helmets. Apart from this, if a person has such a medical condition due to which he cannot wear a helmet on his head, then he is also exempted from this rule. But to get the exemption, it is necessary to show proof.

These are the rules regarding helmets in the country

Let us tell you that according to Helmet Regulation and Law in India, it is mandatory for all two-wheeler drivers in the country to wear helmets. According to section 129 of this rule, if you are caught driving a bike or any other two-wheeler without wearing a helmet, then a challan of up to Rs 5000 can be charged from you. Also, your driving license can be suspended for three years. According to the new Motor Vehicle Act, if a child above 4 years of age is riding on a two-wheeler, then it is mandatory for him to wear a helmet. Similarly, helmet is also mandatory for any co-passenger sitting behind the rider.
