Train Cancelled today: Important news for passengers traveling to and from Mumbai. Western Railway informed that there is going to be a mega block between Goregaon and Andheri for the next 35 days. Due to which many trains of Mumbai division are going to be cancelled and many trains are also being diverted. Why are trains being cancelled
Western Railway said that this project is being started to start the sixth line between Goregaon and Kandivali stations. Whose length is about 4.5 km and this work will be completed in 35 days. In this, the sixth line will be laid to the east of the existing track from Goregaon to Malad (S) and Malad (N) to Kandivali. In fact, at Malad station (MDD), due to lack of space, the sixth line will be laid towards the west, which will make it necessary to shift all the five existing lines towards the west through cut and connection.

4th Mega Block
28/29-09-2024 · Duration: 10 hours · Impact: 200 suburban cancellations, 60 short terminations, 70 delays GMN NI work will start from 29/30-09-2024 During GMN NI (for 5 days) · Impact: 90-95 average suburban cancellations, 70-75 average short terminations, 110-120 average delays.
Fifth Mega Block
05/06-10-2024 · Duration: 10 hours · Impact: 100 suburban cancellations, 30 short terminations, 60-70 delays Due to caution orders on all lines, 20-22 long distance trains will be controlled by 15-20 minutes per day. Along with this, non-interlocking work will also be done on the 5th line between Goregaon and Kandivali from 28/29-09-2024. Due to this, trains running from Bandra Terminus will be controlled by 40-45 minutes.
