IRCTC has launched a payment gateway system called IRCTC iPay. Due to which it has become easy to book train tickets and instant refund is credited on cancellation of ticket.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a payment gateway system named IRCTC iPay. IRCTC iPay provides a better and convenient online digital payment system to the users. It simplifies the process of booking train tickets through IRCTC website for those who wish to travel by train. Before the introduction of this system, booking train tickets used to be a lot of trouble. Along with canceling the ticket, one had to wait for several days for the refund. IRCTC iPay Gateway reduces the time taken for booking tickets and also allows users to get instant refunds. How to book train tickets through IRCTC iPay?
Step 1: Open IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in).
Step 2: Fill the travel details. (place and date)
Step 3: Select the most suitable train for your journey and tick the health advisory pop up.
Step 4: Login to your IRCTC account and fill the captcha to proceed.
Step 5: Now fill the passenger details correctly and choose the mode of payment.
Step 6: Review your journey and move on.
Step 7 : In the payment methods, you will see the first option as IRCTC iPay.
Step 8: Select the option and then click on Pay & Book.
Step 9: Enter your credit card/debit card or UPI details and click to make payment.
Step 10 : When you accept to make payment through your respective payment method, your ticket will be booked instantly. You will receive an SMS and an email on your registered mobile number and e-mail ID respectively.
IRCTC users can authorize these payment instructions for all their future train bookings.
