Will you get its refund or not? For your information, let me tell you that you will definitely get a refund of that ticket, provided you follow some rules and claim the refund in time.
How to get refund?
For refund you will have to file TDR. According to IRCTC rules, if the train misses your boarding station, you will have to file TDR within four hours, if it is late then refund will not be accepted.
File TDR like this –
- To file TDR through IRCTC app, you have to open this app and log in to it.
- After logging in, you have to click on the train option.
- After this you will see the option of File TDR.
- After clicking, you will see the ticket for which you can file TDR.
- Select that ticket and click on File TDR
- After this, choose the reason for which you want to get refund by filing TDR.
- Just after this your TDR will be filed and your money will come within 60 days.
You get full money even in connecting ticket –
Passengers who have booked connecting train tickets can get their money back if they miss their second train due to delay in the first train.
For connecting journeys, the “PNR” from the station and the boarding station should be the same and the PNR from the “to” station and reserved should be the same.
To book connecting journeys, passenger details including name must be same in both PNRs. Change of name/age/gender is not allowed for connected PNR. Only confirmed, partially confirmed tickets are allowed for connecting journey ticket booking. The day difference between the main journey and the connecting journey should not exceed 5 days.
