After this you will have to submit the printout of the ticket and the application form to the reservation supervisor of the ticket counter. After verification, your ticket will be transferred to your concerned family member. Please note that you cannot transfer this ticket to any friend or other person. According to Railway rules, it can be transferred only to your family members.

Must be informed 24 hours in advance

If you are not able to travel, you will have to inform 24 hours in advance. Only then will the ticket transfer process be completed. Otherwise your ticket will go waste. You too will not travel on it and no one else will be able to travel on it. Therefore, if you come across such a situation then go to the ticket counter 24 hours in advance and get it done.
