Train Tickets Update: The festive season has begun in the country. In such a situation, everyone is struggling to get confirmed train tickets to go home on Dussehra, Diwali-Chhath festival. Apart from regular trains, there is a long waiting list in the special trains that have started. In such a situation, the passengers of the country are facing problems. Despite heavy waiting in trains, agents spread across the country are booking railway tickets for common passengers with the help of software and then selling them at high prices.

Whereas it takes four to five minutes for common people to book train tickets, these booking agents book train tickets in just 30 to 40 seconds with the help of software. Agents neither take time to fill the passenger’s details nor do they waste time in searching for the train nor in filling captcha. With the help of special software, agents book many tickets in minutes. Recently, RPF has caught many gangs booking such tickets.

RPF says that the number of gangs dealing in railway ticket fraud increases during festivals and holidays. From time to time, RPF runs campaigns against such people who book tickets through wrong methods and catches them. So far this year, RPF has caught 147 agents from the capital. During this, it was found that these agents are using special software like Red Mirchi and Tatkal Adda etc. to book confirmed tickets. These agents buy such software for 20 thousand rupees through Telegram app. It works only for 15 to 20 days. After this, these people have to buy new software.

This is how railway tickets are being made

A common man can book a maximum of 12 tickets in a month through his personal ID through the railway IRCTC website or app. But sometimes, to book more tickets, these agents create 50 to 60 IDs with fake names. IRCTC gives only one ID to an agent to book a ticket. But these agents book tickets by creating fake IDs. Because this saves them from paying the fee to IRCTC. These agents fill the passenger’s information in advance in the software purchased from the Telegram app. As soon as the booking opens, these people easily book the ticket in a few seconds. While common people get troubled in filling the information, writing captcha and making payment. In the meantime, these agents book the ticket directly by making payment.

They charge from 500 to 2000 rupees

RPF says that these agents charge an additional fee of 500 to 2000 rupees from the passengers for each ticket. These agents use such software for booking Tatkal tickets. However, the railways use powerful software to catch these agents. In this, the booking data of any train is taken and checked. RPF caught 14 such agents in January, 11 in February, 19 in March, 14 in April, 41 in May, 15 in June and 21 in July.
