Trains Route Changed: After the Kanchenjunga rail accident in Katihar division, the routes of 24 trains including Vande Bharat and Rajdhani have been changed. These include trains running between Malda and Katihar. Their routes have been changed.
Trains Route Changed: After the fierce collision between Kanchenjunga and a goods train between Rangia and Nijbari railway stations of Katihar Railway Division, the route of two dozen express trains including Rajdhani and Vande Bharat Express has been changed. CPRO of Northeast Frontier Railway, Sabyasachi Dey said that till the rescue and relief work is going on at the said accident site, the trains running between NJP, Malda and Katihar will be operated via a changed route.
Route of these up and down trains changed
CPRO said that trains have been diverted from New Jalpaiguri-Siliguri Junction-Bagdogra and Aluabari Road route. He said that New Jalpaiguri-Udaipur City Weekly Express, Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, Agartala-Rani Kamalapati Special Train, Sealdah-New Alipurduar Padatik Express, Nagarcoil Junction- Dibrugarh Special, New Delhi- Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express, New Delhi- Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express, Howrah- New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express, Guwahati, Howrah Saraighat Express, Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Northeast Express, Guwahati- Bengaluru Express, New Jalpaiguri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express are included.
Apart from this, up and down trains like Kamakhya- Gaya Express, Dibrugarh- Howrah Kamrup Express, Guwahati- Okha Express, New Tinsukia- Tambaram Express, Bamanhat- Sealdah Uttar Banga Express, Dibrugarh- Kanyakumari Express, New Alipurduar- Sealdah Teesta Torsha Express, Haldibari- Sealdah Darjeeling Mail, New Alipurduar- Sealdah Padatik Express, Guwahati- Jammu Tawi Lohit Express, Kamakhya- Delhi Brahmaputra Mail etc. will be operated on changed routes.
Let us tell you that 9 people have died in the Kanchenjunga Express accident. And more than 46 people are reported to be injured. The Railways has ordered an inquiry into this train accident. Also, restoring rail operations on important routes is the first priority.
