TV Show CID To Return With A New Season?

The iconic Sony TV show CID last aired its episode on October 27, 2018, marking a six-year hiatus. During the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, the show was re-broadcast, sparking renewed interest. Now, there’s speculation that CID may return with a fresh season, exciting its dedicated fan base.

Telly Express reports that CID is set for a revival, returning to TV screens after a six-year hiatus. The revamped show is expected to debut in October. The original series featured iconic characters such as Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty as Inspector Daya, Aditya Srivastava as Senior Inspector Abhijeet, and Narendra Gupta as Dr. Salunkhe, with Dinesh Phadnis as Fedricks, who sadly passed away in December 2023.

According to entertainment news sources, Sony TV is working on a new season, but there is no confirmation yet regarding the cast. The channel has neither confirmed nor denied these rumors.
