Under this visa program, some selected people will be able to live uninterrupted in UAE for 10 years. This visa was announced by Dubai Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. He said in a post on social media account X, “The year 2024 will be the year of stability. Today we have approved the “Blue Residency Visa”, which will be awarded to individuals who have made exceptional contributions and efforts in the field of protecting the environment or making contributions to sustainability and the latest technology, recycled economy, or other areas. This visa will allow you to stay for a period of 10 years. “The sustainability of our economy is linked to the sustainability of our environment and our national directions in this area are clear and consistent,” he said.
Application process started
The Government of UP has started accepting applications for the Blue Residency Visa Program. Eligible persons seeking this visa can apply through Federal Authority, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security. According to UAE’s English newspaper Khaleej Times, the concerned authorities can also select eligible candidates for 10 years long-term residence.
Permission to stay for 10 years under Golden Visa
Standard residency visa in UAE is generally valid for two years only. However, in 2019, the UAE launched a ten-year residency program, which was named the Golden Visa. Golden Visa is granted to investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, exceptional students and graduates as well as humanitarian leaders.
Permission to stay for 5 years under Green Visa
Apart from this, in the year 2022, United Arab Emirates launched Green Visa. This visa program allows skilled workers, freelancers, investors and entrepreneurs to stay uninterrupted for 5 years.
