The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) official said that Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had earlier requested the Center to allow the Hafkin Institute to produce cocaine. It is currently being manufactured by Bharat Biotech based in Hyderabad. He said that the Center has given its approval for this.
