UGC NET 2024: A big update has come out regarding the UGC NET December session exam. The dates have been changed. The exam to be held on January 15 has been postponed. The National Testing Agency has also issued a notice in this regard.
Pongal, Makar Sankranti and other festivals will be celebrated on January 15. Therefore, in the interest of the students, NTA has decided to postpone the UGC NET exam to be held on this day. The new date will be announced soon. The agency has not given any information regarding the admit card as well.
Tamil Nadu government’s demand fulfilled (UGC NET Exam Postponed)
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin had written a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding the change in the date of UGC NET exam. In which he expressed concern about the conduct of UGC NET exam on Pongal festival. He had said, “Holidays have been declared in the entire state from 13 to 16 January. If UGC NET exam is conducted in such a situation, students may face many problems.”
No change in the schedule of UGC NET 16 January exam
The agency said in the notice, “The examination will be conducted on January 16, 2025 as per the pre-scheduled schedule.” Let us tell you that the examination will be conducted in two shifts in various cities across the country. The first shift will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. At the same time, the second shift will run from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
