UGC NET 2024: Big update! New subject added in UGC NET, will be implemented from December session

UGC NET 2024: UGC has included a new subject in the NET exam. The commission had earlier included a new subject in the June session as well. The new subject included now will be applicable from the December 2024 session.

UGC NET 2024: University Grants Commission has included a new subject in UGC NET December 2024 session. Applicants will be able to register for the new subject while applying for the December 2024 exam. UGC has given information about this through a post on micro blogging website X.

UGC has written in its X post, “Ayurveda Biology has now been included as a subject in the UGC-NET exam. Candidates can choose this unique subject starting from December 2024. It will promote interdisciplinary knowledge and the ancient science of Ayurveda.”

The syllabus of the new subject included in UGC-NET is available on the official website ugcnetonline.in.

Subject added on the recommendation of experts

UGC has said in a statement that the decision to include Ayurveda Biology in the NET exam has been taken on the basis of the recommendations of the committee of experts. This recommendation was received in the 581st meeting of the Commission held on 25 June 2024. Let us tell you that disaster management was added as a new subject in the UGC NET exam of June session.

Result released on 17 October

The result of UGC-NET June 2024 session was released on 17 October. NTA also released category wise cut-off marks along with the result. UGC-NET June 2024 session result can be checked on the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
