UGC NET 2024 Cancelled The controversy over the UG result has not yet cooled down that the Ministry of Education on Wednesday announced the cancellation of UGC-NET. The investigation of the case has been handed over to the CBI. The Ministry of Education has taken this decision after receiving inputs of rigging in the examination from the Home Ministry. UGC-NET will now be conducted afresh.
UGC NET 2024 Cancelled: The Ministry of Education of the Government of India has canceled the UGC-NET June 2024 exam. The Government of India has taken this decision to maintain the highest level of transparency and purity of the examination process. The examination was conducted in two shifts a day earlier.
Now a new examination will be conducted, for which information will be shared separately. Also, it has been decided to hand over the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for in-depth investigation of the matter.
NEET (UG) 2024 was also organized by NTA
It is known that the National Testing Agency (NTA), which organized NEET 2024, also conducted the UGC NET exam 2024 on 18 June 2024 in OMR (pen and paper) mode in two shifts in various cities of the country. Which has now been canceled.
UGC NET was conducted on 18 June at 1205 examination centers in 317 cities across the country. More than 11 lakh students participated in it. The eligibility of teachers teaching in universities and colleges is determined through UGC-NET examination.
On the basis of this, they are appointed to the post of Assistant Professor. This time UGC had decided to give admission in PhD through this examination.
NTA’s work on contract
The contract system prevailing there is being considered the main reason behind the irregularities in NTA’s examinations. According to sources, NTA does not have its own staff or experts to conduct these examinations, rather it conducts these examinations of lakhs of students through outsourcing. It also includes many such agencies, which neither have any experience of examinations nor any resources.
It conducts these examinations through Jugaad arrangements. There is also no verification of the employees working in them. According to experts, a gang has joined these agencies that conduct examinations in collaboration with NTA, which is working to leak the examination papers by taking money.
EOU investigating NEET case in Bihar
In the case related to NEET (UG) Examination-2024, a detailed report has been sought from the Economic Offences Unit, Bihar Police regarding some alleged irregularities in the conduct of the examination in Patna. After receiving the report, the Central Government will take further action.
At the same time, after the decision of the Supreme Court, the students who got grace marks will have to appear for NEET exam again. NTA had told the court the number of such children. Also, the apex court has asked to start the process of NEET counseling on time.
The government has said that it is committed to ensuring the purity of the examinations and protecting the interests of the students. Also, strict action will be taken against any person or organization found involved in the matter.
