The registration date for UGC NET December 2024 has been extended. In such a situation, those candidates who have not applied yet due to any reason can apply by visiting the official website.
UGC NET registration date extended: If you have not been able to apply for UGC NET December, then this news is for you. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration date for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test December session by one day. Now the registration date for UGC NET December session 2024 will remain open till 11.59 pm today i.e. 11 December. In such a situation, those candidates who have not been able to apply yet due to any reason can fill the application form by visiting the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. NTA issued a notice and gave this information.
The official notice said, “The National Testing Agency (NTA) has received various representations from the candidates to extend the last date for submission of online application forms for UGC-NET December 2024.”
Fee date also extended
The NTA has also extended the last date for submission of examination fee by one day. Candidates can now submit the application fee for UGC NET December 2024 till December 12. Earlier, the last date for submission of application form was December 10 and the last date for fee payment was December 11.
How much fee will have to be paid?
To register for the UGC NET 2024 December session exam, candidates belonging to the general or unreserved category will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,150. Those belonging to the General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories will have to pay Rs 600, while candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PWD) categories will have to pay Rs 325.
Correction window date also extended
Along with extending the registration deadline, NTA has also updated the application correction schedule for UGC NET December 2024 exam. As per the official notice, candidates will now be able to make corrections in their UGC NET December 2024 form on December 13, 14.
The official notice states, “Candidates can make corrections in the details submitted online in their forms through the correction window at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in during the period the correction/editing window is live.”
When will the exams be held?
UGC NET December 2024 exam is scheduled to be held from January 1 to 19, 2025. The UGC NET 2024 exam for the December session will be held for 85 subjects, which will determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor and PhD admission.
