Aadhar card is an important document for every Indian citizen. It is not just a document, but an identity card. Aadhar is very important for any financial transaction and availing government schemes.
Aadhaar not only contains your address information, but also contains the biometric information of the individual. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is the authority overseeing Aadhaar-related services. 1. Address Validation Letter
UIDAI has stopped the facility of updating Aadhaar through Address Validation Letter till further orders. The option related to address validation letter has been removed from the UIDAI website. So you can use any other method for updation. You can update your address through any one address proof from this list of other valid address proof (https://uidai.gov.in/images/commdoc/valid_documents_list.pdf). This will have a direct impact on the people living on rent because tenants or other Aadhar card holders could easily update their address through this. 2. Reprint facility
Now the format of Aadhar card reprint has also changed. UIDAI now issues Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Aadhaar Card. It is very attractive as compared to the old style long-length Aadhaar card and is smaller as an ATM card. In this way, there will be no fear of getting spoiled or broken by water. So you can easily keep it in your pocket. This is the whole process
- Click on this link (uidai.gov.in) to order PVC Aadhar Card-
- Then click on My Aadhaar.
- Here click on ‘Order Aadhaar PVC Card’.
- Now on the website enter your 12 digit Aadhar card number and captcha code or security code which will appear on your screen.
- Here you will see a column where it will be written ‘Mobile number is not registered’. Tick this.
- Now OTP will come on the alternate number you have entered.
- After entering the OTP, the payment option will come, after which your PVC Aadhar card will be ordered.
