Aadhaar latest news: Now by stealing or tampering with the data entered in your Aadhaar, no person will be able to make you a victim of their fraud.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which is administratively responsible for handling Aadhaar, has made a proposal to make elaborate arrangements, after which no one will be able to touch your Aadhaar data without your permission. UIDAI has proposed to allow people to lock their biometrics permanently, introduce a mechanism for offline Aadhaar number verification and use the Aadhaar Number Capture Service Token or ANCS token system.
UIDAI will change the rules
Actually, UIDAI has prepared the draft Aadhaar (Authentication and Offline Verification) Regulation-2021 in place of Aadhaar (Authentication) Regulation-2016. After this draft, UIDAI said that such arrangements are being made for Aadhaar number holders that they can lock the biometrics permanently and will also be able to unlock it temporarily if needed.
It is not easy to break into biometrics records
The agency said that if someone using this process wants to break into the biometrics record of the Aadhaar number holder, without the correct code, he will get a ‘no’ answer and then he will not be able to do so. Along with this, UIDAI will allow the person concerned to authenticate through Virtual ID or other means in case the Aadhaar is locked. Let us tell you that UIDAI had made the proposed draft public on May 20 last for suggestions on the proposal to change the regulation.
What is ANCS Token
In fact, about ANCS, it has been said that the encrypted Aadhaar number is generated through Aadhaar number by the authority to complete the transaction authentication. The ANCS token will be valid for a specified period only. However, nothing is being said clearly about how ANCS will work under the authentication mechanism of UIDAI.
