UIDAI tweeted the alert
UIDAI has issued this alert on the tweet on Twitter. In this tweet, UIDAI has written that not all 12 digital numbers are Aadhaar. For this reason, UIDAI has suggested that Aadhaar should be verified before accepting it as an identity proof. In such a situation, if you do any such work in which you have needed someone’s Aadhaar, then definitely check whether the Aadhaar number given by him is correct or not. UIDAI has also given its own method to verify the Aadhaar number.
In this way, check the given Aadhaar number is correct
- For this directly go to the link given by UIDAI at resident.uidai.gov.in/verify.
- Here now you have to enter the 12 digits entered in the Aadhar card. After filling the captcha, click on the Verify button.
- By doing this you will know whether the given Aadhaar number is correct or not. If correct, the authenticity of the 12 digit Aadhaar number number will be visible to you on the screen.
