Union Budget: Rs 1000 for 91 km long rail track between Chandigarh to Yumananagar

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has allocated one lakh 10 thousand crore rupees in the Union Union Union Budget. Chandigarh has also been overlooked in this budget this year. The Railway Board has increased the fund of Chandigarh-Baddi railway track to 200 crores. The cost has increased due to delays in the Chandigarh-Baddi rail track construction project. This project increased the pre-fixed cost by Rs 24 crore. Earlier in the 2018 budget, this project cost was also increased. This 33.23 km railway track will start from Chandimandir to Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.

Apart from this, the work of laying the rail line between Chandigarh to Yumananagar has also been taken forward. This track of 91 km from Chandigarh will be made via Sudaura, Naraingarh to Yumananagar. For this project, a budget of one thousand rupees has been kept as token money. If the railway authorities agree, now this project will also be expanded further.

The project cost for the construction of the over bridge on crossing number -139A on the Chandigarh-Kalka route has been increased to Rs one crore. Kalka-Shimla-TTR (64 sets) cost Rs 1 crore. The project of shed and length machine on the bashing line of Kalka railway station has been increased by one crore rupees.
