According to the Delhi Police, the farmers have betrayed us

More than 50 people have been arrested so far in the case. So far 19 people have been arrested. The Delhi Police said that the farmers had betrayed us. Police security has been beefed up at the Singhu border after the Noida Chilla border and NH24 were evacuated. Vehicles have been barred from crossing the Singhu border. A large police force has also been deployed.

What happened at the rally?

The farmers had organized a tractor rally in Delhi on Tuesday. The road was paved for the farmers to rally. Farmers did not rally along that route. The farmers had rallied in a different way. A group of farmers had reached ITO from Ghazipur border. The group was trying to get to the Red Fort. Police tried to stop them on the Akshardham-Noida route. Protesters were allowed to cross the Outer Ring Road. However, the protesters did not go this way and tried to enter Delhi. So the police tried to stop them. This time there was a verbal clash between the police and the farmers. Meanwhile, stone pelting started from the farmers towards the police. As soon as the stone-throwing started, the police also started lathi-charging the farmers. As a result, farmers became more aggressive. The farmers broke the police barricades. The farmers also vandalized some vehicles. As a result, the police had to try to disperse the crowd by breaking tear gas canisters.
