Free rations will be distributed to all ration card holders in the Corona period from May 21 onwards. The distribution of free ration under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana will start from the second cycle of May ie from 21 to 25 May.
Under this scheme more than 11 lakh ration card holders in the district will get free ration. There are about 88 thousand Antyodaya ration card holders. There are number of eligible household card holders with more than 10.50 lakhs. Five kilo rations will be distributed per unit. Two kg of rice and three kg of wheat will be available. District Supply Officer Dilip Kumar said that ration has been allocated for distribution. The lifting of the ration ration has also started. Regular ration will be distributed till May 18, free ration card holders will be distributed from the second day of the same day.

Wheat and rice will be distributed to all card holders. During the Corona period, strict action will be taken against the Kotdar who was negligent in distribution of ration under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. District Supply Officer Dilip Kumar told that during Corona period no one should bother for ration for which the scheme has been started. In case of complaint of arbitrariness in giving ration, the card holder will make a complaint, in addition to departmental proceedings against the Kotdar, action will also be taken to cancel the quota.
