UP Panchayat Chunav 2021:The list of reservations has been released on Friday amid preparations for the election of the District Panchayat in Uttar Pradesh. Reservation notification for Panchayat Election 2021 to be held in Uttar Pradesh has been issued. State’s Additional Chief Secretary Panchayati Raj Manoj Kumar Singh gave details of reservation arrangements for District Panchayat President and Block Chiefs.
According to this notification, 27 posts of Panchayat President are unreserved, while 12 posts have been reserved for women, 27 for OBC and 16 for SC. Out of the 826 posts of block chiefs, 314 are unreserved. 113 posts have been reserved for women, 223 for OBC and 171 for SC. For the first time, five posts are reserved for ST. 20268 posts are unreserved for village heads. There are 9739 seats for women, 15712 for OBC, 12045 for SC and 330 seats for ST. 20268 posts have been kept unreserved for village heads while 9739 for women, 15712 for OBC, 12045 for SC and 330 for ST are reserved. The seat of Lucknow District Panchayat President is reserved for SC women and the team from Varanasi is reserved for OBCs. There is no reservation for the post of Gorakhpur District Panchayat President. This is the normal seat.
27 seats unreserved for the post of District Panchayat President : Aligarh, Hathras, Agra, Mathura, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Kanpur Dehat, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Maharajganj, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Shahjahanpur, Siddharthnagar for the post of District Panchayat President , Moradabad, Bijnore, Rampur, Amroha, Meerut, Bulandshahar, Ghaziabad, Unnao, Bhadohi and Gautam Budh Nagar have the seat of the district unreserved.
25 women to be District Panchayat President: Women will be elected in 25 out of 75 District Panchayats in Uttar Pradesh. Of these, for the general category women, Kasganj, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Mau, Pratapgarh, Kannauj, Hamirpur, Bahraich, Amethi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Sonbhadra districts have been declared. Shamli, Baghpat, Lucknow, Kaushambi, Sitapur, Hardoi for Scheduled Caste women. The districts reserved for OBC women are Sambhal, Hapur, Etah, Bareilly, Kushinagar, Varanasi and Badaun.
Manoj Kumar Singh said that the three-level General Election Rules issued by the Government yesterday under the policy, the reservation of 75 district panchayats are being issued today. Under this, 16 districts are reserved for Scheduled Castes. Six seats are reserved for women. Shamli, Baghpat, Kaushambi, Sitapur and Hardoi are reserved for women. Seven reserved seats for women in backward classes and 13 seats for backward classes have been reserved. With this, the population of the village has been reduced by some 60 lakhs. At the time of election of two lakhs 15, there were 15 crore 80 lakhs, in 2021, who are going to conduct elections now, this number is 60 crores and 20 lakhs.
