Following the order of Allahabad High Court, Panchayati Raj Department has started the process of fixing the reservation in Panchayat elections (UP Panchayat CHunav 2021), considering 2015 as the base year. In this sequence, the list of reservation of Zila Panchayat Adhyaksh was released late Wednesday night. Compared to the previous list, the change in the new reservation list has happened only in the reserved seats for unreserved and women. There has been no change in any of the districts which were reserved for Scheduled Castes (Women), Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes (Women) and Backward Classes.
New listAccording to Amethi, Kannauj, Mau, Kasganj, Mainpuri, Firozabad, Sonbhadra and Hamirpur have become unreserved. In the previous list, these districts were reserved for women. Similarly, Siddharthnagar, Agra, Shahjahanpur, Moradabad, Balrampur and Aligarh have been reserved for women. Earlier these districts were unreserved.

The seats of Lucknow, Hardoi, Sitapur, Shamli, Baghpat and Kaushambi have been reserved for Scheduled Castes (Women).

Gonda, Prayagraj, Bijnor, Unnao, Meerut, Rampur, Fatehpur, Mathura, Ayodhya, Deoria, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Amethi, Shravasti, Kanpur Dehat, Amroha, Hathras, Bhadohi, Ghaziabad, Kannauj, Mau, Kasganj, Mainpuri, Firozabad , Hamirpur and Gautam Budh Nagar are unreserved.
