UP Rain: There will be heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh from July 5 to 9, Punjab, Western Madhya Pradesh from July 5 to 7, Vidarbha from July 8 and 9, Chhattisgarh from July 7 to 9.

UP Rain: Heavy rains are continuing across the country these days. Heavy rains have started causing problems in states from North to South India and East to West India. The Meteorological Department has said that heavy to very heavy rains are going to occur in North West and East India during the next two days, while such weather is going to continue for five days in the states of Northeast India. There will be heavy rains in UP for the next five days.

According to the Meteorological Department, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Western Rajasthan will receive heavy rains on July 5, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh on July 5 and 6, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, Eastern Madhya Pradesh on July 5 to 9, Punjab, Western Madhya Pradesh on July 5 to 7, Vidarbha on July 8 and 9, Chhattisgarh on July 7 to 9. Apart from this, a warning of lightning has also been issued. Apart from this, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are going to receive heavy rains on July 5, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar on July 7 to 9, Jharkhand on July 7, Odisha on July 6 and 8, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on July 5-9.

Talking about other states, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana may also receive light to moderate rains with thunderstorms for the next five days.

Torrential rain in Himachal Pradesh

Meanwhile, many parts of Himachal Pradesh received torrential rain on Friday due to which 77 routes were closed for traffic. Shimla Meteorological Office issued a ‘yellow’ alert on Saturday with a warning of heavy rain at sporadic places, thundershowers. The state has received heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Office, Palampur received the highest rainfall of 128 millimeters (mm) while Katola received 110 mm, Baijnath 95 mm, Jogindernagar 64 mm, Mandi 40 mm, Kothi 36 mm, Kufri 33.2 mm, Shilaru 32.5 mm, Dharamshala 26 mm, Manali 22 mm and Khadrala 21.6 mm of rain was recorded. According to the Emergency Operation Centre, due to heavy rains, 77 roads including 67 in Mandi, seven in Chamba and one each in Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti and Shimla districts were closed for traffic and 236 transformers were damaged.
