Lucknow. The Yogi Government has taken a major step to make the public ration distribution system transparent and completely corruption free. The state government has implemented major decisions to make the ration distribution system impeccable. Along with digitizing the entire process, the government has increased monitoring on the implementation of the schemes.
Yogi government has implemented online ration card management system across the state, digital platform for all Antyodaya and ration cards of eligible household beneficiaries Has been brought to Data of a total of 4076302 Antyodaya Yojana and 31757376 cardholders of selected eligible households has been brought on the digital platform across the state. The data of all the fair rate ration shops in the state has also been made digital.
Added to digital process
11000 shops in urban areas and 68850 shops in rural areas have been brought into digital process. The process of distribution of ration from city to village has been linked with e-pass machine. The ration distribution system has been completely free from corruption through Aadhaar authentication and OTP authentication. Computerized supply chain management system has been implemented across the state by lifting and allocating foodgrains from warehouses.
New scheme for helpless, elderly and disabled
According to data from the Department of Food and Logistics, a total of 33387865 transactions have been done through e-pass in November 2020. A total of 32843503 transactions have been done through Aadhaar authentication, which is 98.37 percent. To curb corruption, the Yogi government has also started a special scheme for distribution of ration to the sick, helpless, elderly and disabled people of the state. The Yogi government is distributing ration to the homes of the sick, elderly and disabled.
Responsibility assigned to officers
Under this, the operators of government shops will go to the home of the disabled card holders and deliver their ration. The responsibility of monitoring the scheme has been entrusted to the local officers of the administration along with the officials of the Food and Logistics Department. In many districts of the state, work has been started on the scheme of providing ration to the disabled card holders at home. Ration is being sent to the homes of 8577 people by identifying card holders unable to take food grains by reaching the ration shop.
