SBI Card on UPI: There is good news for SBI card holders. Now customers using Rupay credit cards will be able to make payments through the card on the UPI platform.
SBI Card RuPay Credit Card on UPI: SBI Card and National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) have announced to link SBI RuPay Credit Card with UPI. According to the report published in the Economic Times, Rupay credit card holders of SBI Card can use it for UPI transactions from August 10, 2023 onwards. Along with this, even if you use any third party app for UPI Payment, then also SBI card can be used. The effect of this decision will be on the users of RuPay platform of SBI card and they will be able to use the card easily for making UPI payments as well.
UPI payment will also get a boost
While giving information about this new facility, MD and CEO of SBI Card, Ram Mohan Rao Amara said that through this step of SBI Card, customers will get the facility of UPI payment through RuPay platform. Along with this, UPI payment will also get a boost. Now people will be able to use credit card more and more for payment. Amara further said that this facility will prove to be a milestone and will bring a new revolution in the field of digital payments. This partnership between UPI and SBI Card will now enable customers to make UPI payments through credit cards.
No fee to be paid for the service
Giving information on this matter, Dilip Asbe, MD and CEO of NPCI has said that with this partnership of NPCI and SBI Card, people will have new options for UPI payment through RuPay Credit Card. It is a fast and convenient option. Now any SBI card holder can easily do UPI nomination on his active card. For this you will not have to pay any separate fee. It is to be noted that in order to link the card with UPI, the SBI credit card registered number must be linked with UPI. Without this you cannot link both.
How to link RuPay platform of SBI card with UPI-
1. For this, first download any UPI app in your mobile.
2. After this complete the registration in the UPI app through your mobile number.
3. After completing the registration process, choose the Add Credit Card or Link Credit Card option here.
4. Here you have to choose the option of SBI Credit Card.
5. After this select SBI RuPay Credit Card.
6. Lastly enter your card 6 digit number and also enter the expiry date.
7. Your UPI app will be linked with SBI card.
How to make payment-
- If you have to pay through UPI app through SBI card, then first scan the QR code for this.
- Enter the amount you want to pay.
- Select the SBI RuPay Credit Card option from the payment option.
- Enter your 6 digit UPI PIN.
- Payment will be done easily in a few seconds.
