The year 2023 is about to end and only 15 days are left in it and in the meantime many important tasks need to be completed.
UPI payment: If you make UPI payment through PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, then there is an alert for you also. Actually, the central government is implementing new rules to prevent fraud in Unified Interface Payment i.e. UPI.
Under this, UPI IDs which have not been active for a long time can be cancelled, NPCI had also issued guidelines to service provider firms and banks.
According to NPCI, verification should be done again for those customers whose online transaction has not been done from their UPI account for a year or more. Banks and all online payment service providers like Google Pay and Paytm were also asked to get KYC done again for such inactive accounts.
If verification of UPI ID is not done by the last day of the year i.e. 31st December, then such accounts will be closed from the new year. Meaning, after closure, the concerned customer will no longer be able to do digital transactions from this UPI account. In such a situation, if you have not done any transaction from your UPI account for a long time, then activate it and do the transaction.
