Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions are not going to be expensive from the new year. PIB Fact Check has completely refuted all the news released in some media segments claiming to be charged additional charges on payments from third party mobile applications.

According to the government fact checker PIB Fact Check, a news is claiming that UPI transactions will become expensive from the new year and there will be an additional charge for payment from third party apps. This claim is false. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has not taken any such decision. Along with this, the PIB Fact Check has also asked people to be warned of wrong news.
Actually it was being claimed that these changes would happen from 1 January. But after this important information is revealed, common people are relieved. Let us know that UPI allows users to transfer money, electricity, mobile phones, broadband etc. to pay the bills.
