The UP Board has given more than 56 lakh students registered for the High School and Intermediate Examination 2021 and the schools a chance to correct the spelling errors in the names of their parents. In a letter issued by Secretary Divyakant Shukla to all the district school inspectors on Friday, it has been written that the website will be open for two days on June 14 and 15 for error correction.
Last year in the examinations of 2020, the names of students and their parents were uploaded on the board’s website for the first time in English as well as Hindi. Due to uploading of names in both the languages, the website is being opened to avoid any spelling errors. Modification can be done on the basis of school admission application form, student register etc.
Names cannot be changed completely. There should be uniformity in the uploaded names in Hindi and English i.e. there should be no difference between them. The Secretary has directed the DIOS to inform all the Principals of their district so that they make a list of such students in advance on the basis of school records and make amendments in time.
