Urfi Javed told in an interview to ‘Humans of Bombay’, “Girls wearing short clothes were looked down upon in Lucknow. I was also stopped, I was tortured mentally and physically; I even tried to commit suicide.” Tried but in that one moment I decided to give my life a second chance. I decided that I will not stay in Lucknow at all.”
Ran away from home at the age of 17
The actress further added, “I ran away to Delhi. I was only 17 years old. I started taking tuitions to survive. Later I started working in a call center. After a brief struggle, I Cracked a TV serial and then tried my luck in Bigg Boss OTT. But within a week I was fired.”

Along with this, Urfi told that when she was only 15 years old, an ad*lt site had uploaded her photo. It was just a normal picture. I had posted a photo on my Facebook profile wearing a tube top. Someone downloaded it and uploaded it on an ad*lt site without editing it. Gradually this news spread and reached my house. Everyone started blaming me.
