Train cancelled List: Due to the block at Balamau station in UP, the operation of 13 up-down trains was stopped on Sunday. Many trains reached late than their scheduled time. Due to this, passengers had to face trouble at Bareilly Junction. The operation of 78 trains is affected due to the block till 19 February. Passengers had to face more trouble due to the cancellation of trains. On Sunday, 412 people cancelled their tickets.
These trains were cancelled
Bareilly Delhi, Rajyarani, Vandebharat, Gangasutlej, Punjab Mail, Janta, Jammutavi, Janseva, Double Decker, Malda Town, Rajyarani, Varanasi Express, Kashi Vishwanath
These trains arrived hours late
While Saharsa Special arrived four hours late at 16.10 pm, Shaktinagar Triveni arrived one and a quarter hour late, Kumbh Special arrived 4:30 hours late. Triveni Express was half an hour late. Avadh Assam Express also arrived late from the scheduled time.
Three special trains were run to control the crowd
In view of the increasing crowd of people going to Prayagraj, Northern Railway has run two special trains for Kumbh Mela. Which will reach Phaphamau via Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow and Rae Bareli. CPRO Delhi Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay has issued information regarding Kumbh Mela Special.
DM-SSP arrived to see the security arrangements
Many passengers lost their lives in the stampede at Delhi Railway Station. More than 20 passengers were injured. Due to this incident, the Railway Board has issued an alert. In view of the order, DM, SSP and SP City inspected the security arrangements at the junction. Officials gave necessary guidelines.
Additional buses had to be run to Prayagraj due to crowd
Due to the train operations being more affected on Saturday and Sunday, passengers going to Prayagraj reached Satellite. Transport control message was issued about the increasing crowd there. Officials arrived at midnight. 16 additional buses were arranged. Many contracted AC buses had to be run. Despite this, many passengers had to travel standing in the bus. There were 70 to 75 passengers in the 52 seater bus.
Transport Corporation officials say that whenever Saturday comes, many people leave for the pilgrimage the next day due to Sunday holiday. At present, Maha Kumbh Mela is going on. Triveni Express was cancelled on Saturday. Mughalsarai Express was more than nine hours late. It did not reach platform number three till 12 o’clock at night. In such a situation, passengers started getting their tickets refunded. At midnight, a large number of passengers going to Prayagraj reached Satellite. There were less buses, but more crowd. There was a lot of pushing and shoving and commotion to get into the buses. The station in-charge issued a message to the Transport Corporation Control.
ARM Bareilly Depot Sanjeev Srivastava, ARM Rohilkhand Depot Arun Kumar Bajpai arrived. Additional buses were called from the workshop. Buses on routes here and there were reduced and sent to Prayagraj and Lucknow. 16 buses had to be run. Many contracted AC buses were deployed. Then the crowd was controlled. 70 to 75 passengers went in each bus. There was a good crowd throughout the day on Sunday as well. The Transport Corporation management had to run 12 additional buses till night. Already 13 buses are being run regularly to Prayagraj from Satellite.
