New Vande Bharat Express: India’s 19th, Maharashtra’s fifth and Mumbai’s fourth Vande Bharat Express train can run between Goa and Mumbai from June 3. It is likely to be formally inaugurated on June 2. Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has already dispatched a train with eight coaches to Margao. Officials said that this train will take less time than Tejas Express running on the same route. Presently it has eight coaches. Changes will be made later in view of the demand.

Let us tell you that its trial run was done two weeks ago. Meanwhile, this train left from platform number 7 of CSMT in Mumbai at 5:30 am and reached Goa’s Madgaon station at 12.50 pm. Its timetable is being finalized.

Presently Vande Bharat Express is running on Mumbai-Gandhinagar, Mumbai-Solapur, Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi and Nagpur-Bilaspur routes. Maharashtra got the first Vande Bharat train on 30 September 2022, which runs between Mumbai and Gandhinagar. At the same time, on February 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Vande Bharat Express trains from Mumbai to Solapur and from Mumbai to Sainagar Shirdi.

There may be restrictions on the speed of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express train. This can be done keeping in view the monsoon in the Konkan region. The train will take seven hours 50 minutes to cover the distance of 586 km.

A senior railway official said it will run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Madgaon station in Goa on all days except Friday. Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express will have 10 stations on its route. It will depart from CSMT and stop at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Thivim and Margao. This train will be maintained on Friday.

The first trial run of the train took place on 17 May. Officials say that the number of passengers in this Vande Bharat train will also be good as this route sees heavy rush throughout the year due to Goa being a tourist destination.

At present, forty pairs of trains run daily on the Konkan Railway route. Already three Vande Bharat Express are running from Mumbai. Mumbai to Shirdi, Mumbai to Solapur and Mumbai to Gandhinagar. There is 70 percent occupancy in these three trains. The upcoming Mumbai-Goa train will be the fourth Vande Bharat Express train from Mumbai.
