Vande Bharat trains will run on these routes

The Railway Board will soon decide their destinations. The final inspection of these orange trains with 16 coaches is currently underway. According to an ICF official, the Railway Board will decide on which route these Vande Bharat trains will run. Vande Bharat trains currently run from Chennai to Tirunelveli, Mysore, Coimbatore and Vijayawada. ICF has produced about 75,000 rail coaches in more than 500 designs.

For this financial year, ICF has planned to manufacture 3,515 rail coaches, including 1,536 LHB coaches and more than 650 Vande Bharat coaches. Currently, Vande Bharat trains have eight or 16 coaches.

Vande Bharat trains with 24 coaches will run soon

An ICF official has said that in the future, Vande Bharat trains with 20 and 24 coaches will be run. A test run of these Vande Bharat Metros has also been conducted. R Pandiya Raja, former member of the Regional Rail Advisory Committee of Southern Railway, has demanded Vande Bharat service between Chennai and Nagarcoil. He has also demanded a Vande Bharat train connecting Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram via Tenkasi which can make the journey of passengers going to Madurai and Trichy easier.

Apart from this, he has suggested to plan to increase the number of these trains during the Sabarimala season. According to R Pandiya Raja, two rakes should be operated. One should start from Chennai in the morning and the other from Thiruvananthapuram at the same time. Apart from this, starting these Vande Bharat trains from Tirunelveli to Bengaluru will benefit the passengers of the southern districts.
