There is a good news for railway passengers. If you travel by KSR Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express, now you can travel further up to Belagavi. The Railway Ministry has increased the service of this train. This is the country’s 21st semi-highspeed train, which was flagged off by PM Modi on June 27, 2023. According to the news of Financial Express, this is the second blue and white colored train in the state after MGR Chennai Central-Mysore Vande Bharat Express.
Distance of 611KM in less than eight hours
The KSR Bengaluru–Dharwad Vande Bharat Express is maintained and operated by the South Western Railway (SWR) zone. This Vande Bharat Express train will cover a distance of 611 kilometers in less than eight hours. It will be the fastest train on the route after Rani Chennamma Express and SBC-BGM Express. Both trains cover the same distance at 09:50 and 10:35 respectively.
Will not work on Tuesday
KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week except Tuesday. The train is made up of eight coaches consisting of AC chair car and executive chair car. The capacity of the train will be 530 passengers. The extension of this Vande Bharat Express train to Belagavi will give a massive boost to connectivity in the region. This will also prove beneficial for passengers traveling on the route as it will reduce the travel time by more than an hour.
This train has increased connectivity between North and Central Karnataka. Earlier, for the convenience of passengers, Railways has extended the routes of two more semi-high speed trains – Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express up to Udhna and Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express up to Prayagraj.
