Actually, now this train has been extended till Mangaluru. A large number of people are expected to benefit from this.
According to the reports of ‘Deccan Chronicle’, now this train will leave from Mangaluru at 6.15 am and then reach Thiruvananthapuram at 3.05 pm. Talking about return, this train will leave from Thiruvananthapuram at 4.05 pm and then reach Mangaluru at 12.40 am. This train will run six days a week. During this period the train will stop at Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode Main, Tirur, Shornur, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kollam.
On this, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel says that he had appealed to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to extend the Vande Bharat Express running between Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapura to Mangaluru. Only after this the Railway Ministry accepted this appeal and approved it. Apart from this, Kateel has also urged the Railway Ministry to extend the Mangaluru Central-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express up to Mumbai CSMT.
