Vande Bharat in Tripura: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has urged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to start Vande Bharat train between the state capital Agartala and Guwahati in Assam.

Vande Bharat in Tripura: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has urged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to start Vande Bharat train between the state capital Agartala and Guwahati in Assam. Saha, who recently met Vaishnav in New Delhi, also discussed various development projects related to railways in the northeastern state.

Demanded Vande Bharat train from Railway Minister

The Chief Minister posted on Facebook on Wednesday, “Met Union Railway and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav ji at Rail Bhavan in New Delhi. In the meeting, we discussed various development issues like operation of Vande Bharat train between Agartala-Guwahati, intercity train, local train between Dharmanagar-Sabroom, new railway line between Jirania-Bodhjangnagar (industrial area) and Dharmanagar-Kailashar, including operation of Kisan Rail between Agartala-Guwahati.”

Earlier, he met Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and discussed matters related to the development and progress of Tripura.

Saha said, “I met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at his residence in New Delhi and discussed issues including development of Vidya Jyoti schools, conversion of Mahila Mahavidyalaya into Women’s University and conversion of Tripura Institute of Technology into a Technical University.”
