Kerala’s third Vande is waiting for India

It is noteworthy that the operation of the third Vande Bharat is awaited for Kerala. The rake of Vande Bharat Express consisting of eight coaches is currently parked in Kollam. The delay in operation of this train is being attributed to a technical glitch in the electrification of the pit line at the Ernakulam Marshalling Yard complex. According to reports, there was also an alleged delay in completing the drain work in the yard. At present, there is every possibility of starting the service of Vande Bharat Express for Bengaluru after the end of the Model Code of Conduct.

What could be the time table and milestones?

According to Mathrubhumi report, the train will depart from Ernakulam at 5 am and reach Bengaluru at 1:35 pm. In return, this train will depart from Bengaluru at 2:05 pm and reach Ernakulam at 10:45 pm. In its journey, this Vande Bharat will stop at stations like Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode and Salem.

Vande Bharat trains have been a big hit in Kerala. According to ‘Manorama’ report, there has been a demand for Vande Bharat train on the Ernakulam-Bangalore route for some time, but it has not been provided yet due to no facility to carry out maintenance work.
