Yes, this train going from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu to the capital of Karnataka will now leave at 7:25 am. There was a demand for change in the timing of this train for a long time. Vande Bharat train from Coimbatore to Bengaluru was started on December 30 last year. Since then, passengers were complaining that it becomes difficult to reach the station at 5 am to travel by train.
After leaving from Coimbatore, this Vande Bharat train will now reach Bengaluru at 1:50 pm. After this it will leave Bengaluru at 2:20 pm and reach Coimbatore at 8:45 pm. It is known that this train operates on all days of the week except Thursday. The Railway Board has written a letter addressed to South-Western Railway and Southern Railway regarding this. It said that the Railway Ministry has approved the proposal to change the timing of (20641/20642) Bengaluru Cantonment-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express. Also, instructions have been given that there should be a large scale publicity regarding the time change, so that information can reach maximum people.
Elderly passengers faced more problems
Due to departure time of Vande Bharat train from Coimbatore at 5 in the morning, passengers faced a lot of problems. Especially for elderly passengers, it was difficult to get ready and reach the station so early in the morning. People were also complaining that they do not get passengers in the morning. In such a situation, people have to book a cab and reach the railway station. A lot of money is spent in this process. There were also indications that the Railway Board was going to change the train timings, as bookings were stopped during the last two weeks of January. After this it was reinstated again on 1 February.
