Vande Bharat: The new Vande Bharat Express service connecting Mysore and Chennai via Bengaluru has been started from 5th April i.e. last Friday. Vande Bharat of this route was flagged off by PM Modi.
Vande Bharat: Railways is very excited about Vande Bharat which is becoming popular across the country. Vande Bharat trains are being operated by Railways in different states of the country. Vande Bharat train is not related to any celebrity. Whenever people see this train standing on a railway platform, they start taking selfies with this train. Seeing the immense success of Vande Bharat, which was launched in the year 2019, this train has become in great demand on different routes. Now Railways has started the new Vande Bharat Express service connecting Mysore and Chennai via Bengaluru from 5th April i.e. last Friday.
PM Modi had shown the green signal
According to the report of News 18, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Manjunath Kanmadi said that South Western Railways (SWR) has ensured all necessary arrangements in Mysore for the smooth operation of this premium train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this train on March 12. Initially between 14 March and 4 April, the train operated between SMVT Bengaluru and Chennai Central due to maintenance limitations in Mysore. It did not run on Wednesdays during this period, reports Deccan Herald.
Vande Bharat will not run on Thursdays from 30th July
Kanmadi said that from April 5, Vande Bharat train number 20663/20664 will run between Mysore and Chennai Central via Bengaluru. This Vande Bharat will not run on Wednesdays from 5th April to 29th July. After July 30, this train will not be operated on Thursday instead of Wednesday. This is the second Vande Bharat Express service between Mysore and Chennai. The first Vande Bharat service (train number 20607/20608) is operational from November 2022.
What will be the time table?
First Vande Bharat departs from Chennai Central at 5:50 am and reaches Mysore at 12:20 pm, in return the train departs Mysore at 1:05 pm and reaches Chennai Central at 7:20 pm. Vande Bharat’s new service will depart from Mysore at 6:00 am and reach Chennai Central at 12:25 pm via Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, KR Puram and Katpadi en route. In return, this train will depart from Chennai Central at 5:00 pm and reach Mysore at 11:20 pm.
