Sleeper Vande Bharat: Currently Vande Bharat trains with chair cars are running across the country. Now soon its sleeper version is going to be available. With the help of Sleeper Vande Bharat, passengers will be able to travel long distances while sleeping comfortably. On Friday, great news has come for railway passengers and people’s wait is over. Actually, the first prototype of Vande Bharat Sleeper train is ready and is ready for trial on the track. Trial of the train can also start soon.
Although the Railways has not yet officially announced the date from which the first sleeper Vande Bharat train will run, it is expected that the Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat running in January next year can be run in the sleeper version only and this train will be the first sleeper version. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given many important information about Sleeper Vande Bharat in the Rajya Sabha.
Earlier on December 2, the Railway Minister had told about Vande Bharat with chair car that currently 136 such trains are running. Out of these, 16 Vande Bharat Express services are meeting the needs of stations located in Tamil Nadu states. The longest distance Vande Bharat train is running between Delhi and Banaras, which covers a distance of 771 km. Ashwini Vaishnav said in a statement tabled in the Rajya Sabha that the Vande Bharat sleeper trains currently planned for long and medium distance travel are equipped with modern facilities and passenger amenities.
Sleeper Vande Bharat Train Features

2- The train will be compliant with EN-45545 HL3 fire safety standards.
3- Crashworthy and jerk-free semi permanent coupler and anti climber.
4- Crashworthy design of carbody compliant with EN standards.
5- Regenerative braking system for energy efficiency.
6- Emergency talk-back unit for communication between passenger and train manager/loco pilot in case of emergency.
7- Accommodation and accessible toilets for passengers with restricted mobility (PRM) in driving coaches at each end.
8- Centrally controlled automatic plug doors and wide gangways in the train.
9- Well designed staircase for easy climbing to the upper berth
10- Facilities like CCTV cameras, AC, saloon lighting etc. in every coach
