Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: After the success of Amrit Bharat and chair car of Vande Bharat train, soon people will also get to see the sleeper version of Vande Bharat Train on the tracks. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav inaugurated the car body structure of Vande Bharat Sleeper Transit on Saturday. It is being constructed by BEML.
These facilities will be available in the train
The Railway Minister had told in October 2023 itself that the Vande Bharat Express sleeper prototype is being produced by BEML in Bengaluru. Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will be an automated train set, which will have better facilities than Rajdhani Express trains, which will be a separate segment for night travelers in Indian Railways. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said at the beginning of the year that there are plans to produce 10 Vande Bharat sleeper train sets. Apart from the 10 train sets to be manufactured by BEML, work on other Vande Bharat sleeper projects is also underway. This train will run at a speed of 160 km per hour.
Passengers will get this special facility
The first prototype Vande Bharat sleeper train set will have 11 AC 3 tier coaches, 4 AC 2 tier coaches and 1 AC first coach. It has more comfortable berths with better cushioning than Rajdhani Express, sensor-based lighting in common areas, jolt-free ride with better couplers, better lighting on the floor through strips for easier movement in the aisle area of the coaches. Arrangements will also be made. Better designed stairs will be used to make it easier to climb to the upper berth in the train. Additionally, colors of cream, yellow and wood have been used in the interiors for a better ambient feel.
