First sleeper Vande Bharat train: The first sleeper Vande Bharat train of the railway division will run from Bareilly to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai. The railway is preparing its route.

New timetable

Its announcement can be made in the new timetable. Currently, only chair car Vande Bharat trains are being operated across the country.

Coaches being prepared

Coaches of Vande Bharat trains with berths are being prepared in factories. On Wednesday, the Railway Minister reiterated the point of running sleeper Vande Bharat.

Its proposed route has been decided as Bareilly-Chandausi-Aligarh-Agra-Gwalior-Jhansi-Bina-Bhopal-Itarsi-Khandwa-Jalgaon-Manmad-Mumbai.

This is the plan

At present, an express train runs on this route. There is a plan to run Vande Bharat without affecting the timing of other trains.

Change in route

The route can be changed considering the time and other reasons. The distance from Bareilly to Mumbai is about 1600 km.

It is believed that this could be the country’s first Vande Bharat train running in a distance of about 1600 km.

Sleeper Vande Bharat

Some other divisions are also planning to operate long distance sleeper Vande Bharat trains from their areas.

Moradabad Division

There are only tunnels in the 213 km stretch from Rishikesh to Karnaprayag. Tunnels have been built up to 171 km out of these. In this too, 155 km part belongs to Moradabad Division.

Journey to Char Dham

The longest 15 km tunnel is also with Moradabad Division. The Railway Minister said that by the end of 2026, people will be able to travel to Char Dham by train.

Glass roof

According to the Railway Minister, a train of Vistadome coaches with glass roof will be run on this route. Passengers will be able to enjoy the mountain views.

35 Vande Bharat trains

Currently 35 Vande Bharat trains are running from 24 states of the country, which pass through 100 rail routes and reach 284 districts. Five of these pass through various cities of Uttar Pradesh like Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Varanasi.

Vande Bharat Metro

Railways has announced to run more than 100 Vande Bharat Metros, which will run at a speed of 100 to 130 km per hour. These trains will run between cities between 100 to 250 km.
