New Delhi. The sleeper version of Vande Bharat will soon start running on the tracks. The first train will leave the factory within two months. The manufacturing process is in its final stage. Initially, there are plans to bring two sets of trains. They will be trialled first. After that, regular operations will be carried out.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has indicated this while talking to journalists on Saturday. Railways is working on the target of running about 250 Vande Bharat sleeper trains in the next five years.

This route can be started

The route has not been decided yet, but it is believed that it can be started from Delhi-Mumbai or Delhi-Kolkata route. Under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, the Railway Ministry is working on other versions of Vande Bharat. Each train of the sleeper version will have 16 bogies. There will be 11 AC three bogies, four second AC bogies and one first AC bogie.

887 people will be able to travel sleeping in each train at a time. The railways are trying to make this train more updated and comfortable than the Vande Bharat Express and Rajdhani trains that travel sitting. The speed capacity of Vande Bharat Sleeper will be 220 to 240 km per hour, but the operating speed will be 165 km only. Seats with classic wooden design are being made, which will be so comfortable that passengers will feel like they are in a luxury hotel.

Four crore people traveled in special trains

This time, keeping in view the night festivals and summer rush, the railways ran 19 thousand 837 special trains. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that keeping in view the summer rush, these special trains were run during April, May and June. More than four crore people traveled in these special trains during three months. This number is in addition to the people traveling in trains daily.
