Vande Bharat Special Train: There is good news for the railway passengers of Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow and Bihar’s Chhapra. Railways have decided to run a new Vande Bharat Express special train between these two cities. Train number 02270/02269 will run six days a week except Tuesday. The running of this train will provide great convenience to the passengers of this segment. Giving this information, Northern Railway has said that a notification has also been issued in this regard.
Till what date will it run?
According to Northern Railways, train number 02270 will run from Lucknow from 27 March 2025 to 26 April 2025. This train will not be available on Tuesday. During this period, this train will make a total of 27 trips. Similarly, train number 022269 will run from Chhapra from 27 March 2025 to 26 April 2025. This train will also make a total of 27 trips. This special Vande Bharat Express train will stop at Sultanpur Junction, Varanasi Junction, Ghazipur City and Suremanpur stations between Lucknow and Chhapra.

Train timings
This new special Vande Bharat train will have chair car and executive chair car. The time-table of the new Vande Bharat Express special train between the two cities has also been released. According to Northern Railway, this train will leave Lucknow Junction at 14:15 and reach Chhapra Junction at 21:30. Similarly, it will leave Chhapra Junction at 23:00 and reach Lucknow at 6:30.
How much is the fare
According to the official website of IRCTC, the fare of this train in chair car from Lucknow to Chhapra is Rs 1780, while the fare in executive class is Rs 3125.
You can buy food in Vande Bharat train
The Railway Board has recently said that if the passengers of Vande Bharat train do not choose any option of food during ticket booking, then they can also buy it in the train. The circular issued said that in order to provide options and adequate catering facilities to the passengers having current booking (after chart preparation and before departure of the train) in Vande Bharat trains and those who do not opt for food, the sale and service of food items in these trains may be restored by IRCTC.
