Vande Bharat: This Vande Bharat is not getting passengers; Railways has taken this step

Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat: The seats of Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express are often vacant. The railways have made a special plan for this train which is facing a shortage of passengers. The railway administration has decided to extend this train to Varanasi.

Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat: Passengers are very excited about the country’s most popular train Vande Bharat. Everyone wishes that the Vande Bharat train passes through their city so that they can enjoy the journey of this high-speed train. However, there are some routes where the Vande Bharat train is not getting the expected passengers. The seats of Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express running on one such route often remain vacant. The railways have made a special plan for this train which is facing a shortage of passengers. The railway administration has decided to extend this train to Varanasi and has started work for it. The aim of this step is not only to increase the number of passengers but also to ensure better utilization of the train’s capacity. To implement this plan, the Lucknow division of Northern Railway has been directed to prepare a feasibility report by conducting a survey on the proposed expansion.

Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express had received a good response earlier

The Vande Bharat Express received a good response from passengers in the initial days after it was launched between Meerut and Lucknow. But now the railways are facing financial losses due to unbalanced passenger numbers on this route. The passenger count in the train going from Lucknow to Meerut is good, but the number of passengers returning from Meerut to Lucknow is decreasing. Due to this, the railways have planned to extend the train to Varanasi, so that the passenger count can increase to this historical and religious city.

The extension to Varanasi is expected to increase the number of religious and tourist passengers on the train. Apart from Varanasi, other cities falling on this route will also benefit from this service. The railway administration believes that this move will improve revenue and further boost the popularity of Vande Bharat Express. Railways hope that the extension to Varanasi will provide better connectivity and convenience to passengers.
