In a media report, quoting a railway official, it was told that this train can reach a speed of 200 km per hour. In such a situation, the travel time between the two stations will be reduced by 4 hours. Currently, it takes about 12 hours to go from Delhi to Katra via superfast train.

The railway official said that a large number of passengers travel on this route. Keeping this in mind, this decision has been taken. A large number of people come here due to the Vaishno Devi temple. It is known that the first Vande Bharat Express train was started on the Delhi-Varanasi route. It was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it runs 5 days a week. Since then, the network of Vande Bharat trains is being spread across the country. There is an effort to connect different cities of the country with Vande Bharat trains.

The new Vande Bharat will cover the distance in 8 hours

Let us tell you that the high-speed new Vande Bharat running on the New Delhi-Katra route will cover the distance within 8 hours. If sources are to be believed, the movement of new train sets on this route can start from next month. It is being said that initially this train will run only three days a week (Monday, Thursday and Saturday). If we talk about timing, the new Vande Bharat Express will leave Delhi at 6 am and reach Katra at 2 pm. On the return journey, this new Vande Bharat Express will depart from Katra at 3 pm and reach Delhi at 11 pm. Currently, the train will run at a maximum speed of 130 kmph on the Delhi-Katra route. Talking about stoppages, the new Vande Bharat train will stop at Ambala, Ludhiana and Jammu Tawi on its journey from Delhi to Katra.
