Vande Bharat Express Train New Routes: The moment which was awaited for a long time is near. Indian Railways has given another good news for the passengers associated with Vande Bharat Express. Railways has started preparations to operate Vande Bharat on two more routes via Bareilly.
A speed trial may be conducted for this next month. The good news for the people of Bareilly is that both these Vande Bharat trains will pass through the middle of the city, which will also benefit them.
Vande Bharat Express will run on these routes
Indian Railways has prepared the route map, which includes Lucknow-Delhi, Kathgodam-Delhi, Tanakpur to Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and Sitapur via Lucknow and Ramnagar to Agra.
It is expected that by next month, the speed test of Vande Bharat Express services will be done on these two routes passing through Bareilly. Recently, two new Vande Bharat Express trains have been added to the fleet of Northern Railway Moradabad Division. One of these makes the journey from Dehradun to Delhi easier, while the other serves passengers between Dehradun and Lucknow via Bareilly.
Before the elections, there was a discussion to run Vande Bharat Express trains on several routes like Lucknow-Delhi, Ramnagar-Agra, Kathgodam-Delhi and Tanakpur-Lucknow.
The train will run at this speed
The Railway Ministry said in response to an RTI that the average speed of Vande Bharat trains has come down from 84.48 kmph in 2020-21 to 76.25 kmph in 2023-24.
Railway officials have also informed that not only Vande Bharat but many other trains are also maintaining safe speed at places where ‘large-scale infrastructure work’ is going on.
Officials say that speed trials can be conducted on at least two routes by the end of next month. Before this, other works including track repair are being done. PRO Rajendra Singh said that the process of speed trial will be started soon.
Many facilities will be available in Vande Bharat train
In Vande Bharat sleeper train, passengers will be provided long seats like normal trains to sleep during the night journey. Its fare will be equal to the coach of a normal sleeper train. Vande Bharat Metro train will stop at small stations and short distance stations like Mumbai’s local train.
This train will make it easier to provide connectivity to local villages and towns with cities. Not only this, passengers will be able to travel in air-conditioned coaches by paying a little more fare in this train.
