After departure of Vande Bharat Express from Ayodhya at 3:15 pm, it is proposed to reach Lucknow at 5:15 pm and leave from here at 5:25 pm. The Railway Board has fixed the arrival time of Vande Bharat Express at Anand Vihar at 11:40 pm. However, there may be some partial changes in this timetable.
Will be a challenge for Shatabdi
Shatabdi Express was the only option from Delhi to Lucknow in the morning. Apart from the problems faced in the bogies of this train, complaints are being received every day regarding food and cleanliness. During lean season, dozens of seats often remain vacant in Shatabdi Express. In such a situation, with the operation of Vande Bharat Express, the services of Shatabdi Express will also have to be improved. Railway Board also faces a challenge regarding Lucknow Junction-Anand Vihar AC double decker. Despite the cheap fare, only 10 to 20 percent seats are reserved in this train.
